I checked the "wire" in my three (fantasy) leagues and found many quality players available. Some of the available players who popped up in my leagues are included below. It would be worth checking to see who comes up as available in your league(s). By the way, this is a list of players who were available as free agents- not on waivers. (Stats are as of Nov.9/09.)

GOAL
Goalies seem to be at a premium this year in fantasy leagues. Since obtaining one in a trade might not be an option, you'll probably have to check the "waiver" wire. Here's a trio of "tenders" that may be available:
- STEVE VALIQUETTE - New York Rangers. Has two wins and a shutout this year in his backup role and may see a lot more time with Henrik Lundqvist banged up.
- YANN DANIS - New Jersey. Danis won't see much playing time with Martin Brodeur around but should put up good numbers with a very good Jersey team and defense in front of him.
- MATHIEU GARON - Columbus. Has two wins and a shutout in backup role.

DEFENSE
- JAY McKEE - Pittsburgh. Unsung Penguin D-man will give you a good +/- and PIM's.
- KEITH YANDLE - Phoenix. Up-and-coming Coyote has 6 pts. and 23 PIM's.

RIGHT WING
- CHRIS NEIL - Ottawa. Has only three points but if you need PIM's- he's a good one for it.
- NICKLAS BERGFORS - New Jersey. Devils rookie has 9 points.
- RYAN CALLAHAN - New York Rangers. The goals have been few and far between so far but he should pick it up.
- LEE STEMPNIAK - Toronto. Has 9 points on a improving team.
- DREW STAFFORD - Buffalo. Has 4 goals and 3 assists for Sabres.

LEFT WING
- RYANE CLOWE - San Jose. Many gave up on Clowe after a slow start but he has 6 points in his last five games.
- JASON BLAKE - Toronto. Blake has 2 goals and 8 assists. Look for an increase in his goal production.
- JODY SHELLEY - Columbus. Only 3 points but 52 PIM's.

CENTER
- MATTHEW LOMBARDI - Phoenix. Has 5 assists in his last 4 games.
- ERIC BELANGER - Minnesota. Has 4 goals and 8 assists for Wild.
- MIKHAIL GRABOVSKI - Toronto. Diminutive Leaf has 3 goals and 9 assists.
- PATRICE BERGERON - Boston. Bergeron has 5 goals and 5 assists. Many might have been scared away by his concussion history.
