Jussi Jokinen put up a hat trick against his former team the Hurricanes - the best part; the 'canes are still paying most of his salary!

Did you hear about the retired proctologist? He spent 40 years saying "what's a place like this doing in a girl like you?"

No, this is his first stint with the Penguins. He was drafted by Dallas and I think also played a couple seasons in Tampa before going to the 'canes. he has always been a shootout spectacular having perfected Peter Forsbergs "paralyzer" move.

I haven't watched him play much in the last few years, but when I did see a steady dose of him, he was a very particular skill set. PP, shootout specialist. I think he played once before for Pittsburg didn't he? I think he was one of those players if you were weak in either of those departments and you were looking for a push, he was a key pickup. Has his play fallen off? How does a guy with those skill get dropped?

It was just a salary dump by a rebuilding team. I was wrong about them paying most of his salary. The 'canes are paying $900,000 of the $3,000,000 he is due this year.

I didn't realize Jussi had been bought out. Why? He was always good for 20-25 goals a year and a phenom in the shoot out.
