What's going on with the Sabres? They've been on a losing streak lately, and they've been losing to lower-level teams. Today they lost to BOSTON for crying out loud. Boston sucks! The Sabres should've owned them! And a few days ago they lost to Tampa Bay. The Lightning aren't that great either and should've easily been defeated by a team like Buffalo. They've also lost to the Senators and the Penguins. Sure the Pens have Sid and Malkin but the rest of their team isn't so great. But what REALLY made me mad was when the Sabres lost to the Leafs. The LEAFS! They are my absolute least favorite team and to see them defeat my favorite team... Toronto sucks this year--Buffalo should've had 'em. What's wrong with the Sabres lately? Is this a midseason slump? Are other teams just improving? In the beginning they were doing so well, now they seem to be losing more frequently to teams they should be capable of defeating. This better clear up pretty soon...I don't want to see Anaheim leading the league in points for much longer!

Dammit...Sabres just lost 4-3 to Boston. The refs were trying to decide whether or not Boston's game-wnning SO goal counted...and decided it did. (I bet those refs are from Boston haha) It's all because Afinogenov wasn't there, what do you wanna bet?

Mikhailova Posted - 02/17/2007 : 09:23:02
Crap...Novotny, Gaustad, and Spacek are out with injuries too. Not looking good for Buffalo in the coming weeks...
semin-rules Posted - 02/16/2007 : 20:40:44
Darn he is in my pool to...

I think Sabre's biggest problem right now is Ryan Miller.
He just isn't playing as well as he was before

Really Max broke his wrist NOOOOOOOOOOO i have him in my pool
Mikhailova Posted - 02/16/2007 : 16:15:54
Great...Afinogenov broke his left wrist last night and is going to be out for the next six weeks. Just when things were going great for the Sabres and they were winning a lot, Max goes out and the Preds get Forsberg KariyaSelanne I hope you're happy
Mikhailova Posted - 02/04/2007 : 07:21:45

Mikhailova Posted - 02/03/2007 : 19:07:07
NOOOOOOOOO!!!! The Sabres lost They made some real great shots there at the end, but Brodeur just blocked 'em....so close, so close...
Mikhailova Posted - 02/03/2007 : 18:58:33
YES! Paetsch just scored! 3-2!!! Come on, one more!
Mikhailova Posted - 02/03/2007 : 18:56:52
ARRRRRGGHH I don't believe this! I'm watching the Sabres-NJ game right now...the Sabres were up 1-0 for most of the game, Miller was making some nice saves, then early in the 3rd period I leave to take my dogs out, that takes about 5 minutes, I come back and the score is 3-1 Devils! They scored 3 goals in 5 minutes! I was so mad...Buffalo better tie it quick in the next 6 minutes to at least get to OT.

See when a loyal fan stops watching the Sabres fall behind, LOL

i meant that Nashville will finish first in West but San Jose will go on to take Conference title.
Canucks Man Posted - 02/02/2007 : 23:56:44
OIL-Country, Nashville cant lose to the 8th place team if according to your theory san jose wins the west because then san jose would be playing the 8th place team in the west.

CANUCKS RULE!!

I think San Jose will win conference and Nashville will be out first round against 8th spot team. But for the East i don't know Buffalo could have some difficulties but you never know. Lol right now all im hoping for is the Oilers to make the playoffs!

I agree with Babs big time. That is the the exact reason why there are good teams in div. like the Atlantic, NE, and NW that won't be in the playoffs. Move Nashville into the Pacific or Northwest and they are not anywhere near the top of the league. 17 of Nashville's 36 wins are in the Central. Same thing happened last year with Detroit. Nashville will have the same fate as Detroit did last year as well. If Nashville makes it out of the West, I will eat my shirt. I would put them against Anahiem, San Jose, Dallas, or any of the teams from the NW that will make the play offs. Nashville will do nothing in the playoffs.

Canucks Man Posted - 02/02/2007 : 12:32:57
I really hope Nashville doesnt win the presidents trophy im tired of seeing teams from that division do well because they seem to have it a bit easier then other teams playing chicago st. louis and columbus 24 times combined.

CANUCKS RULE!!
Mikhailova Posted - 02/02/2007 : 12:19:19
74 points!!!! Only one point behind ya, Nashville
KariyaSelanne Posted - 01/30/2007 : 17:19:04
I agree that is why the Preds are winning most of their games, I also say change the schedule!

Go Preds Go!!!

San Jose has to play Dallas, Anaheim and an OK team, Buffalo has to play Montreal, Ottawa and two other OK teams.

Yeah, somewhere else I posted that that was part of the reason the Preds have such a high win percentage. Buffalo and SJ have to work for it a little more.

Yeah, except Nashville

And blade, yes the Sabres are slumping but you've gotta admit they've managed to do a decent job at holding onto their position as a top team with one of the highest win percentages despite their troubles, so you can't really say they're not that good. BTW--why is that called a win percentage? It's a win decimal--Buffalo did not win .686 percent of their games, they won 68.6%...that's a win percentage.
KariyaSelanne Posted - 01/29/2007 : 17:14:07

Go Preds Go!!!
Mikhailova Posted - 01/29/2007 : 16:30:02
No, they're just finding out that they're in a slump. How can they not be so good? They have a .686 win percentage even as of right now! That's not too shabby for a team that's been slumping...

And they've still managed to stay tied for 2nd in the league. If Buffalo's not that good the rest of the NHL must suck then.

The Sabres just lost to the Blue Jackets last night. The BLUE JACKETS! One of the worst teams in the NHL, and they beat one of the best ones. All I can say is the Sabres better not slump like this in the play-offs.
Mikhailova Posted - 01/15/2007 : 16:24:54
Yeah sure...a .717 win percentage wasn't that good

Every team goes through this. Better now than in the playoffs.
