Was it worthy of a Don Cherry Rock em' Sock em' video? I'm going to have to try and find that fight on the interweb!

I still love Belak but I gotta say I think Laraque would woop his butt. He got my vote.

Im probably a little biased...
I choose Rick Rypien...this guy is a fierce competitor..a son of a boxer
Have you seen him fight stortini? i mean rick wants to fight guys a lot bigger than him..shows how much heart he has..and damn is he ever fast!! speed kills..really
best fight in my opinion. look on youtube = rick rypien you'll see a lot of fights or hockeyfights.com.. i think thats what its called
mard65 Posted - 05/25/2009 : 16:15:49
In the lightweight category Rick Rypien is king. Probably the best fighter in the league pound for pound. He pummelled Zach Stortini despite being out weighed by at least 40 pounds.....

I found this here:
http://thereedreview.com/nhlawards3.aspx

The Bruiser Trophy- Awarded to the league's best fighter

08-09 Reed Review Winner:
NYR- Colton Orr

Honourable Mentions
2. PHO/PHI- Daniel Carcillo
3. NJ- David Clarkson
4. STL- Cam Janssen
5. PIT- Eric Godard

Why?
Colton Orr is one of the most common fighters in the NHL. As a fighter he has posted a 12-4-2 record as voted by the fans. If your looking to start fisty cuffs you better watch yourself with Orr on the ice. He'll throw down and finish. You'll be lucky to come out of it without a scratch.

Thank god someone said it.
But after seeing Chara chuck around Mccabe, it could be him. But his role is not the fighter, so either Laraque Or Boogard.

SHELDON SOURAY hes had to fights so far he smoked ohlund to the ground and gave weller a concustion on his feet

Laraques a beast and can beat anyone. No Question. A fight I would like to see would be Lucic and Phaneuf, two strong young guys who will dominate the physical game.

ZDENO IS A BEAST LIKE ONE OF THOSE SUPERHEROS OR BROOK LESNER IN THE UFC HIM A MONSTER MAN AND HAS A STRONG CHECK AND GOOD ARMS LOL!
Guest6714 Posted - 11/22/2008 : 09:03:39
the top fighter has to be milan lucic! the kid is a monster, he busts people up all the time. he may not be on the heavyweight list, but i am sure he would have no problem holding his own. as for laraque, i think he has lost his edge, nobody is afraid of the guy anymore!!!
J-Dog Posted - 11/21/2008 : 19:00:45
I think laraque is the best fighter today, feared, powerful, he's the policeman for the habs. The best fights for entertainement though are ones with Barnaby, (or used to be) he would always be shaking his head, saying no to the refs so they wouldnt stop the fight, and he was rarely winning any. He would bring upon his own beating. Chara doesnt always fight, he wrestles. He knows he can destroy people easily so he'll just wrestle them instead of hurting them I think.

Laraque is the man... and he is completely respectable about it. There is some bad blood between the habs and flyers tonights game should be interesting .. also wait until November 22nd against the Bruins .. Lucic is public enemy #1 in Hab town

Chicago Blackhawks GM

Jesus didn't tap.

I think that hands down it's Chara. He does not fight as much as some of the other names on the list, and I think they know the reason why.

He would K.O. thier asses.
PhillyFan12 Posted - 11/14/2008 : 16:27:14
yeah laraque could knock people out in 1 or 2 punches and they would maybe be like this

i think laraque would win in a fist fight because he has a really fast jab and can knock you out in 2 punches

Leafsfan_94

Laraque could knock us out in 2 punches and maybe Chara too baecause he got big fists.Between to of them It would be a hard decision but I would go with Laraque for his fighting skills.

Always a tough question...

I think Laraque is generally the most feared pure fighter out there, it's proven nightly when no one will fight him. Is that making him rusty? who knows. The Boogeyman runs a fight school in the summers, so he's definately in the mix and has destroyed many a challenger, and then there's Godard, he's beaten down Boogaard and many more, just recently he broke a bone in Edmonton's MacIntyre's face and that's a big boy. Chara is also a beast, more of a grappler though, could probably take most of these guys in a UFC style fight (His father was a Olympic Wrestler). Brashear has had the staying power over the years , but I seem to recall him running from Worrell in the late 90's, early 2000's... That dude was scary.

Hard decision between boogaard, breasher, and laraque. But i think boogaard is the best fighter right now, might change, might change.
brentrock2 Posted - 11/14/2008 : 13:34:36
I bieleve Colton Orr is the best fighter because he usually always wants to fight and he's agressive or it is maybe Chara because he is the tallest person in the NHL and he could just like topple some players.
