Something mentioned in the article that I wasn't aware of (or had forgotten) was that with Orr on the ice the Bruins played 4 forwards!

It says that he finished with double the historical record amount of points by a defenseman (it was him btw) DOUBLE!!! How does that happen in 1 year?

Man this is just mind boggling. He was only 22 when he captured the title that year. 120 points in only 76 games! And was better than 16 points up on Esposito. |
