The question is: who do I pick as a Rookie in my pool this year?

In previous years the answer was quite simple. There was always one or two guys that you really couldn't go wrong with (injuries aside). Last year it was either Matthews or Laine. Year before it was McDavid.

This year? Patrick, Hischier, Strome, Keller, Connor, Ho-Sang, McAvoy, Boeser, Eriksson Ek, etc., etc., etc.

You get to pick one player for your pool. Who would you take? Why?

Sucks, because he looked good on the powerplay and had limited time showcased on the top 6. I think he could have done well if they had kept him.

Brown. Better than a point per game Junior career, specialist for the powerplay, who is 6-6, with magical hands in the crease and room to grow. This means he is played in the NHL and not sent back to junior, which is a risk.
