I guess I'll get the next jersey competition started as Leafsfan_94's competition has just ended.
Inspired from another thread.
You have just bought your favourite team and are now the new owner of the team. Design a completely new jersey for your NHL team.
GUIDLINES:
Your jersey must include the same logo as your teams current logo.
Only one entry per Person.
Entries must be in by FEBRUARY 2nd.

Not sure why I am still confused, but I'm embarrassed to say I'm still not totally getting the point of this if you can't create a new team logo.
Let's take your Detroit logo for example: the big wing and wheel must remain dead center on the chest?
If that stays, doesn't that only leave... a couple of stripes on the sleeve?
Is there an example from last year or something so I can see what you mean. Maybe it will make more sense to me then if I see an example.

dude you know in my competition when you took the templet i posted, use that template put your favourite teams logo and change the look of the jersey

Ok. I get it, and now I see I actually got it right from the beginning.
I thought there must have been more to the contest that I was missing, because to me if you aren't creating a new logo, or adding something new to the existing logo there doesn't seem to be a lot of artistic room left to do anything else.

Actually, if you use paint and use the zoom feature and zoom into your jersey than you may find that very helpful Alex. |

Yes, anybody can post any NHL teams jersey even though it has already been taken.
If anybody needs it, I have a link to all of the Lettering and numbering for every team. Unfortunately I am unavailable to this link until Monday but I will surely post it then. If anybody has that same link then if you could please post it than that would be great. |

I use Photoshop. You can pick a color, then use the bucket feature to click on an area of the jersey and it'll fill it in completely for you. That part goes a lot faster than having to color it all in yourself.

| Hey all, I'll post my jersey later in the week but here is a tip to all those using MS Paint. When saving your jersey save it as a PNG file, not 24-Bitmap. When you upload it and put it on the site it looks alot better. |

I decided to play around with the San Jose uniform. I've never liked their copper green/turquoise look. I kept the original logo, but set it against a giant puck with a mock shark bite taken out of it.
For an added bonus, I designed a new mask for Evgeni Nabokov.
*Note the shark chasing the 'old school' NHL logo puck.

I have an idea, but I'm not completely sure everyone would go for it. I made a Chicago Bulls Jersey in leafsfan94's competition and I thought it looked awesome. My idea for the next competition would be for everyone to take any team not associated with hockey and make it into a jersey. Bonus points for designing a new goalie mask (like markhammax) although we would need the template.. any thoughts? |
