Daniel Sedin's goal, pair of assists power Canucks in toppling Flames

Calgary, AB, Canada (4E Sports) - Winger Daniel Sedin had a goal and two assists to lead the Vancouver Canucks over the Calgary Flames, 5-1 Wednesday at Scotiabank Saddledome .

Brandon Sutter had a goal and an assist while Henrik Sedin , Jannik Hansen and Alex Burrows also scored for the Canucks, who outshot the Flames 44-30 .

Canucks goalie Ryan Miller made 29 saves.

Flames' Jiri Hudler scored and goalie Karri Ramo finished with 39 saves.

Hansen got Hutton's cross-ice pass along the boards before beating Ramo at 10:34 of the first period.

Sutter doubled the lead with about 2 minutes left in the period after batting a rebound out of the air past Ramo .

Hudler broke through for the Flames at 3:39 of the second off an assist from Johnny Gaudreau .

A shot by Dan Hamhuis deflected off Ramo and then Daniel Sedin and went into Calgary's net to make it 3-1 with 5 seconds left in the second.

At 8:17 of the third, Flames defenseman Dennis Wideman knocked down a shot by Burrows, but tipped it into his own net to give the Canucks a 4-1 lead.

Henrik Sedin scored on a wrist shot with 3:29 left to cap the scoring.
