Russia announces roster for 2015 IIHF World Championship

Moscow, Russian Federation (4E Sports) - Defending champion Russia has announced its line-up for the 2015 IIHF World Championship, which will be played in Prague and Ostrava in Czech Republic.

Among those who will see action are Pittsburgh Penguins center Evgeni Malkin , St. Louis Blues wing Vladimir Tarsenko , defenseman Dmitry Kulikov (Florida Panthers) and forward Nikolay Kulemin (New York Islanders).

Russia also has goaltenders Sergei Bobrovsky (Columbus Blue Jackets) and Anton Khudobin (Carolina Hurricanes) in addition to former NHL players Ilya Kovalchuk and Alexander Radulov .

Malkin was held scoreless as the Penguins were eliminated by the New York Rangers in five games in the Eastern Conference First Round.

Malkin tied Sidney Crosby for the Penguins goal-scoring lead during the regular season with 28 and had 70 points in 69 games.

Tarasenko scored six goals in six games as the St. Louis Blues were eliminated by the Minnesota Wild in the Western Conference First Round.

Russia, which is in Group B along with the United States, Finland, Slovakia, Norway, Belarus, Slovenia and Denmark, opens its schedule May 1 against Norway.
