Blackhawks acquire Antoine Vermette in trade with Coyotes

Chicago, IL, United States (4E Sports) - The Chicago Blackhawks acquired forward Antoine Vermette from the Arizona Coyotes on Saturday for defenseman Klas Dahlbeck and a first-round pick in the 2015 NHL Draft.

Vermette , who can become an unrestricted free agent July 1, has 13 goals and 35 points in 63 games.

He would likely play on one of the Blackhawks' top two lines as a replacement for injured wing Patrick Kane.

The 32-year-old also played the past four seasons for the Coyotes after stints with the Ottawa Senators and Columbus Blue Jackets, and has 1" NHL goals and 430 points.

Dahlbeck , 23 was the 79th pick in the 2011 NHL Draft. He has played four NHL games.

"We like the way he moves, we like his defending style. He's a bigger, thicker body (6-foot-3, 207 pounds)," said Coyotes general manager Don Maloney about Dahlbeck .
