Nashville, TN, United States (4E Sports) - Several Nashville Predators players went down with food poisoning before their Friday's 5-3 loss to the Detroit Red Wings at Joe Louis Arena, according to general manager David Poile .

The incident could affect the Predators' lineup as they go up against the Pittsburgh Penguins Saturday at Bridgestone Arena.

Poile didn't go into specifics but the Predators are currently doing some roster management before their match against the Penguins. The Predators did not hold a morning skate Saturday.

"Obviously we have a game tonight and we're doing some roster management right now. We'll have some more clarity, obviously, when we get closer to the game and at warmup , but we've got a lot of guys that are sick right now," said Poile .

Poile said the Predators will have players available from Milwaukee of the American Hockey League if needed.

However, James Neal, Roman Josi and P.K. Subban informed the media that they would play against the Penguins.

"These things happen a lot for teams during the season, and I'm happy to know that it's happening to us right away rather than dealing with it later in the season," Subban said.
