NHL All-Star MVP John Scott's wife gives birth to twin girls

Nashville, TN, United States (4E Sports) - The wife of John Scott gave birth to twin girls Friday, several days after he was named MVP of the 2016 NHL All-Star Game.

With the birth of their twin girls, Scott and his wife, Danielle, now have four girls, joining older daughters Eva and Gabrielle.

The news was tweeted by Scott's agent, Ben Hankinson , who wrote, "Congrats Danielle and John Scott on the birth of beautiful healthy twin girls! Big guy now out numbered 5-1 @ home!"

Scott became the focus of this year's All-Star Game as he was elected captain of the Pacific Division All-Stars by a fan groundswell .

However, he was waived by the Arizona Coyotes and sent to the American Hockey League. He was then recalled and traded to the Montreal Canadiens , who sent him to their AHL affiliate in St. John's, Newfoundland.
