Montreal, QC, Canada (4E Sports) - Carey Price stopped 24 shots while Alex Galchenyuk tallied a goal and an assist to lead the Montreal Canadiens to a 4-1 win over the Ottawa Senators Saturday at Bell Centre.

Brandon Prust , Brendan Gallagher and Tomas Plekanec also scored as Montreal (21-11-2) won four of their last five outings at home.

Erik Condra tallied Ottawa's only goal while Robin Lehner made 25 saves as the Senators (14-13-6) had their two-game winning streak snapped.

The Senators jumped out to an early lead on a short-handed breakaway as Condra beat Andrei Markov to the puck and tapped it past Price and into the back of the net.

Prust tied the game in the first period. His shot from a tight angle squeaked past Lehner and barely crossed the goal line. The goal was reviewed by the NHL's situation room and confirmed.

Gallagher scored in transition when he beat David Legwand to the far post and Galchenyuk found him with a pass across the slot to put in the go-ahead goal at 7:30 of the second period.

In the third, Plekanec took a pass at the goal line, drove to the net and slid the puck around Lehner for the insurance marker on the power play.

Just 44 seconds later, Alexei Emelin found Galchenyuk , who hammered the puck past Lehner for his 10th goal of the season.
