Hurricanes sign Elias Lindholm to two-year extension at $5.4M

Raleigh, NC, United States (4E Sports) - The Carolina Hurricanes have signed forward Elias Lindholm to a two-year extension worth $5.4 million.

Lindholm will make $2.5 million in 2016-17 and $2.9 million in 2017-18.

The 20-year-old totaled 17 goals and 39 points in 81 games last season for the Hurricanes.

Lindholm , the fifth overall pick in the 2013 NHL Draft, ranked third on the team in goals and points and tied for third in assists.

Hurricanes General Manager Ron Francis noted that Lindholm nearly doubled his offensive numbers from his rookie year.
