Marian Gaborik fuels Kings in shootout win over Canadiens

Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E Sports) - Marian Gaborik had two power play goals and a shootout goal to lead he Los Angeles Kings in rallying past the Montreal Canadiens , 4-3 Thursday at Staples Center.

Anze Kopitar's fourth round shootout goal gave the Kings the winning margin.

Jeff Carter also scored in regulation and in the shootout while Jonathan Quick stopped 15 shots for the Kings.

Gaborik's second power play goal with 45 seconds remaining in regulation sent the game to a scoreless overtime.

Max Pacioretty 's third period goal put the Canadiens ahead 3-2 at 7:12 of the third period.

The Canadiens rallied from an early two-goal deficit with goals from Tom Gilbert and Brendan Gallagher " seconds apart in the second period.

Gilbert walked the puck in from the boards for his third goal before Gallagher buried a backhand.

Gaborik had his back to the net when he managed to put Brayden McNabb's off-target shot past Dustin Tokarski to put the Kings up 1-0. Then Carter drove in a goal after a pass by Dustin Brown to make it a 2-0 Kings lead.

Tokarski made 26 saves for the Canadiens .
