Toronto, ON, Canada (4E Sports) - Goalie Jonathan Bernier signed a two-year deal with the Toronto Maple Leafs reportedly for an average annual value of $4.15 million, Sunday.

The terms were determined Friday in a team-elected arbitration hearing.

Bernier requested a one-year $5.1 million contract while the Maple Leafs offered one year at $2.89 million.

The 26-year-old Bernier was 21-28-7 with a 2.87 goals-against average and a .'2 save percentage in 58 games last season.

Bernier said his teammates are excited to come back from 15th place finish in the Eastern Conference last season and are motivated with the new coaching staff.
