Chicago, IL, United States (4E Sports) - Frederik Andersen made 27 saves and helped stop five power play attempts as the Anaheim Ducks edged the Chicago Blackhawks, 2-1 Thursday at United Center.

The Ducks now lead 2-1 in their Western finals series.

The Blackhawks outshot the Ducks 10-5 in the third, but couldn't solve Andersen for the tying goal.

Defenseman Simon Despres drove Ryan Getzlaf's slap shot from 37 feet past Corey Crawford with 55 seconds left in the second to put the Ducks up 2-1.

The Blackhawks tied the game at 1-all with Patrick Kane's backhander in the final minute of the first.

Patrick Maroon tipped in Hampus Lindholm's slap shot on a power play past Crawford at 12:55 of the first for a 1-0 lead.

Getzlaf finished with two assists for the Ducks. Crawford made 25 saves for the Blackhawks.

Game 4 is Saturday in Chicago.
