Toronto, ON, Canada (4E Sports) - Matt Duchene scored twice as Team Canada booked a spot in the semifinal of the World Cup of Hockey 2016 with a 4-2 win over Team USA Tuesday at Air Canada Centre.

Corey Perry and Patrice Bergeron also scored while Carey Price tallied 33 saves as the Canadians eliminated the Americans from the tournament.

Aside from Canada, Team Europe also advanced to the next round.

Ryan McDonagh and T.J. Oshie scored while Jonathan Quick tallied 30 saves for the star-studded American squad.

Only one shot found its way to Price, who stopped it.

Meanwhile, Henrik Lundqvist stopped 36 shots to lead Team Sweden to a 2-0 triumph over Team Finland Tuesday in Group B of the World Cup of Hockey 2016.

Anton Stralman and Loui Eriksson scored for Team Sweden (2-0-0), which is in excellent position to advance to the semifinals by becoming the first team in Group B with two wins.

"I felt pretty rusty the first period, not as aware as I wanted to be, but I got some really good help with some loose pucks and stuff like that," Lundqvist said.

"Then in the second and third I felt more and more comfortable. But it was fun. I really enjoyed being out there playing, a big game, an important game," he added.

Team Sweden could guarantee a Group B spot in the semifinals with a win or an overtime or shootout loss against Team North America Wednesday.
