Terry Doran parting ways with Windsor Spitfires to scout for Flames

Calgary, AL, Canada (4E Sports) - After 10 years of being the assistant general manager and head scout for the Windsor Spitfires, Terry Doran

leaves the team after accepting scouting duties with the Calgary Flames in the NHL.

Windsor GM Warren Rychel expressed his gratitude for Doran's work for the Spitfires.

"I can't thank him enough for what he's done for us."

"I think all of us have learned from him.He was a huge part of those league championships and Memorial Cups. I'm happy for Terry and his family," he added.

According to Doran he expressed his interest with the job and shared his experience with the Spitfires.

"He's been with us since Day 1 and he did a fabulous job. I think all of us have learned from him. He was a

huge part of those league championships and Memorial Cups. I'm happy for Terry and his family."

Doran added, "They treated me with the utmost respect. It was a lot of fun working with them and we had a lot of success. I'd like to thank the entire Spitfires' organization."

He will begin his duties for the Flames on September 1, he will spend time with the Spitfires training camp next week.

Doran's previous endeavors includes his scouting job for the Phoenix Coyotes(1996-2000).

He also became the general manager and director of scouting for the Sarnia Sting (2000-2004).

All of these before working for the Spitfires as a title-winning assistant coach and scouting director.
