Maple Leafs ink forward Sam Carrick to one-year extension

Toronto, ON, Canada (4E Sports) - Forward Sam Carrick signed a one-year extension with the Toronto Maple Leafs as the team announced the deal Monday.

Carrick played 16 games for the Leafs this season tallying two points (one goal, one assist) and nine penalty minutes.

The 23-year-old also suited up for the Toronto Marlies where he played 59 games recording nine goals and 27 points with 112 penalty minutes.

Carrick played a total of 140 games in the AHL tallying 66 points (25 goals, 41 assists).

A 2010 fifth-round entry draft pick by the Leafs, Carrick made his debut in the NHL on November 1, 2014 against the Chicago Blackhawks.
