The Oilers have hired Peter Chiarelli as President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Friday.

They have finally ditched Kevin Lowe as President of Hockey Operations and Craig MacTavish as GM. This is long overdue and perfect timing so that they don't waste another young talent in McDavid. Not sure if this will work but it can't get worse!

As the article states they are both still in the organization but are being reassigned.
