Wow - the New York Rangers have not yet played a game at home! They started their season on the "road" playing their first two regular games in Sweden.

Since then, the Rangers played their next four games away from home, and they still have another game on the road before they go home. (They play the Jets in Winnipeg for their 7th game of the season on Monday October 24th.)

Their first home game is on Thursday October 27th against the Leafs, which is their 8th game of the season. Has a team ever waited so long to have their first home game of the season?

yes.

07/08 NJD, 99/00 CAR, and 80/81 Nordiques all started their seasons with 9 game road trips.

It's going to be this way for the next few seasons as well, while Madison Sqaure Garden continues to undergo major renovations.
