Carey Price stops 43 shots as Habs oust Senators

Ottawa, ON, Canada (4E Sports) - Carey Price made 43 saves to lead the Montreal Canadiens in subduing the Ottawa Senators, 2-0 Sunday at Canadian Tire Centre.

Brendan Gallagher scored at 13:26 of the first period and Max Pacioretty settled the final score with an empty-net goal a second remaining.

The Senators out-shot the Canadiens 16-3 in the second period but failed score.

Craig Anderson finished with 18 saves for the Senators.

With the win, the Canadiens clinched the best-of-seven series in six games and advance to the second round of the playoffs against either the Detroit Red Wings or Tampa Bay Lightning.
