Detroit, MI, United States (4E Sports) - The Detroit Red Wings have re-signed defenseman Danny DeKeyser to a two-year contact, worth $4.375 million.

DeKeyser gets $2.125 million this upcoming season and $2.25 million next year.

Red Wings GM Ken Holland said DeKeyser didn't want a 1-year deal, but the Red Wings weren't about to go long-term with him yet.

The 24-year-old defenseman went from an undrafted free agent in 2013 to the Red Wings' top four last season, playing 21:38 per night in the regular season where he racked up 23 points (4-19) in 65 games.
