St. Louis, MO, United States (4E Sports) - Nick Bonino and Chris Higgins had a goal and an assist apiece as the Vancouver Canucks pulled away with three goals in the third period en route to a 4-1 triumph over the St. Louis Blues Thursday at Scottrade Center,

Bonino broke a 1-1 tie with his second goal of the season at 4:54 before Linden Vey made it a two-goal lead with a power-play tally at 11:57.

Jannik Hansen scored an empty net goal at 16:59 to cap the victory as the Canucks improved to 4-2-0 after snapping a two-game losing skid.

Ryan Miller had 31 saves against his former team, Alex Burrows had two assists while Henrik Sedin and Radim Vrbata had an assist each for the Canucks.

Miller, who signed with the Canucks this past offseason after spending the second half of last season in St. Louis, stopped 16 shots in the first two periods before stopping all 15 he faced in the third.

Kevin Shattenkirk scored the lone goal while Jake Allen had 19 saves as the Blues dropped to 2-3-1 after a second straight loss.

The Canucks capitalized on an early Blues turnover in the neutral zone as Higgins recovered a saved puck and scored past Allen for a 1-0 lead, 41 seconds into the first period.

The Blues finally equalized on their third power play as Shattenkirk fired a wrist shot from above the left faceoff dot past Miller, 7:38 into the second period.
