Phoenix Coyotes could call Seattle their next home

Seattle, WA, United States (4E Sports) - After failing to bring in an NBA team, Seattle may settle for an NHL squad as discussions to move the League-owned Phoenix Coyotes to the city have started.
Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn confirmed that he has spoken with NHL commissioner Gary Bettman about the Coyotes' possible relocation to the city.
"I let Bettman know of the situation here, and that we were supportive of bringing the NHL to Seattle," McGinn said. "We have Key Arena, so we talked about the potential of them being in Key Arena, while we continue to work on a new arena plan."
McGinn earlier said that he and two city council members met with investors Ray Bartoszek and Anthony Lanza to discuss bringing the Coyotes for two seasons to Key Arena, which can fit 11,000 fans for hockey.
NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly confirmed the meeting between Bettman and McGinn but described the conversation as "like any number of conversations the Commissioner has all the time with a variety of people."
The NHL has given Glendale, Ariz. until June 25th to work out a lease agreement with the Coyotes. Bettman acknowledged that the team could relocate if a deal was not done.
Seattle recently worked for the relocation of the Sacramento Kings but the league rejected the move.
