Philadelphia, PA, United States (4E Sports) - The Philadelphia Flyers extended center Sean Couturier for a reported six years at $26 million, Tuesday.

Couturier, who would have been a restricted free agent after this season, said he's happy to be with an organization that believes in him.

The 22-year-old had 15 goals and had 37 points in 82 games last season.

The eighth pick in 2011, Couturier has 45 goals and 118 points in 287 regular-season games, and three goals and four points in 18 Stanley Cup Playoff games.

Couturier led the team's forwards in penalty killing last season with 2:19 of shorthanded ice time per game.
