Sabres sign forward Luke Adam to one-year, two-way deal

Buffalo, NY, United States (4E Sports) - Forward Luke Adam re-signed with the Buffalo Sabres on a one year, two-way contract, although no financial information was released.

The deal gave the Sabres an option to let Adam play in the minor leagues.

Adam played in 12 games for the Sabres in the 2013-2014 season, scoring just one goal.

His best season for the team came in the 2010-2011 season, scoring 10 goals and 20 points in 52 games.

Adam has played a total of 87 NHL games, scoring 15 goals, 26 points, with a minus-11 rating and 32 penalty minutes.

He spent most of last season with the team's American Hockey League affiliate, the Rochester Americans.

Adam led the Americans with 29 goals made in 59 games, and was able to score 49 points.

He was the best rookie in the 2011 AHL season, winning the Dudley "Red" Garrett Memorial Award.

Adam was picked 44th overall by the Sabres in the 2008 NHL Draft.
