Vancouver, BC, Canada (4E Sports) - The Vancouver Canucks have fired three executives; assistant general managers Laurence Gilman and Lorne Henning with director of player personnel Eric Crawford were sacked Thursday.

Crawford became part of the organization when his brother former coach Marc Crawford led the team in the '90s .

Meanwhile, Gilman was with the organization since 2008 when former general manager Mike Gillis was hired.

Gillis was fired when Canucks president Trevor Linden took over replacing him with Jim Benning .

"We have made some difficult decisions to our roster and staff recently after a thorough review of the team," Linden said.

"These are not easy decisions, nor were they taken lightly. But they're important as we transition this team and build for the future," he added.
