Posted - 10/31/2003 : 16:08:04 Hi, I am the administrator for a hockey pool posted on your sight. First of all, I wanted to say thanks for taking the time to let us do this free of charge. It's greatly appreciated. It seems like someone is definately on top of things here.
Now for my question. I have allowed my poolies to have two trades throughout the season, in which I will swap a player. The question is: When I swap player ie: Sakic for Modano, do I lose all of Sakic's points and gain all of Modano's points retroactively to the first of the season or do I simply stop gaining points from Sakic and start gaining points from Modano? Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Posted - 11/01/2003 : 01:00:47 Hi Ernest,
Thanks for the great post! Glad that you appreciate it. We really appreciate the support you and the thousands of others have shown us!!!!!!
here's the soop on the trades. You can get this info by logging in as the administrator and clicking on the orange help buttons located by every function.
Trades...
It is there for information purposes only. Select yes or no and insert the date for the deadline. The trades selector indicates to the pool teams within your pool that there is a trade deadline. The information is posted on the View Pool Page for all your pool teams to see. At this time the pool administrator is responsible for gathering and editing the trades in the system via the "Edit Pool Teams" page.
As it stands now, when a player is traded, his points go away with him. The team would then acquire all the points of the new guy from the beginning of the season.
We are developing the software to manage either scenario, 1) keep the points to date of the traded guy and start acquiring the replacement player's points from the trade date or 2) as stated above. This will definitely be available for next season and maybe before the new year, but for now, once he's traded his points are gone.
I'll keep everyone posted as we progress
Thanks again!
