Posted - 11/11/2003 : 06:23:23 I have found a local weekend game (so I don't have to drive for 2 hours three times a week) but it's roller hockey.
The guys aren't too skilled yet because the tiny town of port angeles isn't much of a hockey town, but it's roller hockey...
My rpoblem is, how the heck do you shoot a ball?
It's lighter than a puck and has a lot more lift. Shots that stay on the floor are pretty much the same, but any time I need a little lift, it goes right over the net, over the boards, over the bleachers and into the next county...
What am I doing wrong?

Posted - 11/14/2003 : 22:16:12 I haven't played much hockey with balls but in my experience you should use the same tactics you would with a puck. Just curl your wrist over and point the blade at your target when you shoot. The key with balls is to curl the wrist for maximum accuracy.
