i havent been able to make a decicion on if i'll keep some of theses players next year or not... it's alittle early but.

1 guillamue latendresse - is he ever going to be a points guy?
he's 23 or 24, is he worth waiting on?

2 james van riemsdyke - highly drafted but not really needed in philly, will he ever get the ice time to get points. i just dont see him in philly for long.

3 ryan smyth - 34 yrs. old, i got him in my keeper pool would you swap him for a skinner or couture?

4 tim connolly - is he worht keeping ?

5 crustin penner?????

Keep Latendresse, he is a big guy and won't get any worse. He should amount too 40-50 points next year.

I do not know much about Jim Van Riemsdyke, No comment

Ryan Smyth has a career behind him time to leave him to RIP

Tim Connonly may be injury prone but he has a lot of upside too him. Keep him.

Dustin Penner if still on Edmonton next year lose him, Hall, Parjarvi, and Eberle will move up line spots consistently; possibly moving Penner down to third line.

You would have to be a Nut Job to get rid of Burrows, may be having a slow start so far but he shows constant improvement every year.

Really depends what you can get instead, for all of them!

Latendresse, prob a 50-55 pt guy? Maybe can get into the 60's in a good year?

Van Riemsdyk, i'd hang onto for sure. I don't personally believe he'll be dealt but it could happen. At the beginning of the year, i heard talk that either he or Giroux would find their way onto one of the top lines and likely have a mini "breakout" year. The other, might take a little longer. Looks like Giroux is the one who's "breaking out" first? Van Riemsdyk, in a keeper pool, imo, is a keeper!

Smyth, keeper pool? Nah, i think his time is up. There's gotta be better younger options? As LA grows and their youth matures, his role will become less and less as a scorer and more as a leader.

Connally, too injury prone. Pt a game is great, but not when you only play half of them. IMO, he's just to frustrating to own!

Penner, lotta talk about teams being interested in him, and why wouldn't they? With his size, and hands, he really just needs to be in the right situation to do some damage.

foolpitter - I think there is a very good chance that Hemsky is not in EDM after his contract expires this year.

Also, Burrows - agreed, his fantasy point potential comes solely from the Sedins. He will continue to play with them though, there is no indication that it will change anytime soon, they seem to have chemistry. Burrows also benefits from plenty of PK time, and is good for SH points.

Latandresse - he should get points so long as he stays healthy.

Van Riemsdyk - I too think that he'll benefit from a change in scenery, but he seems to be in PHI plans. Word is that TOR is trying to pry him away from PHI, but they flat out said he's not for sale. Lots of upside.

Ryan Smyth - if you have a chance to pickup Skinner in a keeper pool for Smyth, I would make that move. Skinner has tons of upside for a very long time. Smyth is decent, but certainly on the downside of his career.

Tim Connolly - yes, he is worth keeping. Nearly a PPG, his problem is getting games not points in them.

Dustin Penner - your choice to keep him would depend on what was available

do you really think that penner is going to be the man in oil country? horcroft and hemskey will play with the young fellas before penner i think anyway, i see him being weined out rather then being made part of the young team " i know horcroft isnt young".

and burrows is another guy i wonder about, if he's not on the 1st line with the sedins i dont see him racking up pts.

I would drop Latendresse for sure. He will never be what he was supposed to be. Van Riemsdyke is good, but you're right, he will never reach his points potential playing in Philly (but if he moves to a new team he could light it up). Smitty's ok, if he's supposed to be your 65 point guy. Connolly is close to a point a game but has nagging injuries every season. Dustin Penner has the brightest immediate future, playing with the young Oilers. Next year could be his career year. So, if it were me I would drop Latendresse and Connolly for sure, and maybe Smitty if there is someone younger you could pick up that would get you the same amount of points.
