follow this link for an incredible shootout goal by a 17 year old in a USHL game.

Did you hear about the retired proctologist? He spent 40 years saying "what's a place like this doing in a girl like you?"

Kesler was ridiculously good last night, he was all over the ice, a man possessed. 2g was fitting for the effort he gave, esp on that tying goal - who scores from his knees, from behind the net, with an opposing player draped over you, with 30 seconds to go? Crazy.

I think Hank hit more posts last night than he has goals all year...lots of chances, just not a lot of luck.

I'll be at the game Saturday for Nazzy night, we'll see if they pick it up a bit...

What is Nazzy night? Is that Nazi joining the ring of Honor?

Yeah, i was at the game nuxfan and it wasn't exactly pretty! Although we did squander quite a few nice scoring chances (ahem, *cough cough, Hank, cough *cough) and out shot them 2-1, it just didn't seem like we dominated like those stats might show? Perhaps if Luongo had a better game, we'd have won a little easier? Or, if when we led 2-1, we could have added a couple more on some of those chances, it could have been over half way through!!

With the finish i saw from Henrik last night, it's as if he wants to keep his goals on the year in single digits!!!

Another thing i noticed, is that the Sedins, for at least the second game in a row, have been somewhat invisible. They really haven't played well of late? Kesler on the other hand, has been an absolute stud and is carrying this team, not so much in points, though he did have 3 last night, but emotionally!

he did look good. too bad about the rest of the game - the 4th goal was fluky but the rest were pretty sub-par, we were lucky to come away with that win.

It could be argued that the "dangle" is what made the goalie attmept the poke check which was part of what made the drag move effective?

BTW, Luuuuuu looked pretty good in last nights shootout (finally!!!)

I have seen that move done multiple times and it didn't work.

My grading was on the move not the player. No doubt great move for a 17 year old player, but I don't give a crap about his age, time theese players are treated like pros.

Linus Omark's goal was much more outstanding.

I give it a 9/10 for fanciness
I give it an 8/10 for creativity
I give it a 5/10 for effectivness.

The reason I put the effectivness so low is the first move didn't make the goalie move, and it was the final stick movement that actually did all the work.
That would have 33% success on regular NHL goalie and 100% on Luongo.

Saw this earlier today....very nice move by a young kid!

and from a defenseman no less, pretty nice. Reminds me of the Pavel Bure kick-the-puck-back-to-yourself move.
