In tonight's Minnesota Wild game, Nik Backstrom was apparently ruled out for personal reasons and it wasn't clear whether or not their call up was gonna make it to the rink in time so the Wild needed to sign an emergency backup! Turns out he's a 51 year old beer leaguer!!! Got to take the warm up but was scratched when their backup arrived in time for the start of the game!

Have to say, i saw the guy on the highlight package tonight and he didn't look 50+!!!

I kind of wished he got to play at least a period! that would of been awesome

I read that he was actually supposed to go the game as a fan haha.
I guess he got the best seat in the house!

Surely something he will never forget
