Nazzy needs to pick it up a notch come playoff time, but he seems to have the warrior instinct. Definately the best Swedish-born Captain of all time.
By the way, who picks the Captains for most teams? |

Posted - 12/20/2002 : 20:23:43 Solo you're on crack!!! I don't deny Sundin's consistency as an individual player, but Nazzy has shown that he can develop the abilities of his teammates to a higher level. At least the Canucks don't carry the overpaid, overpriced, underachieving washups that TO has now. Bertuzzi & Morrision were players with a lot of potential when they first came over, but Nazzy helped lead them to the powerhouse lineup they are today. Sundin is leading a bunch of hacks! Nazzy is leading a TEAM! End of story you wanna-be Swedish s******! |

Posted - 12/20/2002 : 12:54:13 As much as I like Nazzy, I think Mats Sundin is a far better captain. I think his consistency over the years and his steady leadership in the face of one of the toughest and most demanding hockey mecca's in the world, have cemented his reputation as one of the best today (not to mention Swedish born). The Leafs have steadily improved under his leadership and despite a lack of a solid blue line, they have gallantly remained among the elite. |
