I really hope he doesn't he is my all-time favorite defenseman and is a true hockey great and if he does retire he is heading right to the Hall. I also think this is a good move by Burke to pick up a great D-Man like Schneider incase Niedermayer does retire, not that they would be weak on defense considering they have Pronger and Beaucheman, imagine Niedermayer, Pronger, Schneider and Beaucheman as your top 4 D-Men.

Supposelley, a guy I know went to there house to meet the Niedermayer's and he said it was just like they were a normal family, you wouldn't know they have millions of dollars.
He's a good player and a good guy! The NHL loves those type of guy's!

Sorry it is much easier to read like this...
I hope he does not leave, he is in my hockey pool, and I picked him. I would have to get everyone to pick another defenceman, because everyone picked Niedermayer...

Posted - 07/22/2007 : 14:44:38 If Niedermayer retires Anahiem will be in a lot of trouble because he is probably Anahiem's best defencemen. I think Brian Burke might have to go out and make a trade for a quality veteran defender.

Posted - 07/01/2007 : 21:54:11 I honestley think Selanne will stay , he's having too much fun. And he's playing great back to back 40 goal seasons. |

Posted - 07/01/2007 : 14:56:31 If Selanne and Niedermayer leave, the Ducks will lose two key players. But oil-country's right, it was smart of Burke to grab Schneider, a great d-man, to replace Scott if he does leave. But if he doesn't retire (and if Teemu doesn't), Anaheim could potentially lift Cup #2. |
