I have Christian Huselius on my pool team. After a good start he seemed to drop off quite a bit but then again so did the Flames teamwise. I was thinking of putting him on my taxi but he has gone on another roll of late. That was a wild game last night and with Huselius picking up five points I thought I might have gained some ground on the leader in our pool. Nope, I clicked on his team score and he has Pheneaf on his D who also had five points, BUMMER for sure!!! Anyway, anyone have any input on this guy?

If you're looking for a guy who will get you a steady point a night, I don't think Huselius is the guy.
However if you can deal with his streaky nature, he's a keeper. He'll end up with 70 - 75 points at the end of the year.

He started out last season slow, 1 point in his first 7 games.

After that start he has not gone more that 2 games without a point, including this season.

I have him in my pool also, and I expect him to be a point a game player, if he gets me that then he has done well for me...

I don't necessarily agree with everything I say.

He's a skilled offensive player. Above average playmaker and can score to boot. However, don't get him confused with anything that resembles a star - he'd be a solid point-producing 2nd line player on most teams.

Huselius is a seriously talented left winger. He has incredible hands and his point totals (when taking into account his games played) have essentially been increasing each year since joining Calgary 3 years ago.

The thing to note about Huselius is that in the past he lacked confidence and as a result he just failed to shoot. This is not the case any longer. His shots on goal have increased each year and this year will be no different as he is on pace to eclipse his last year's shot total. When a talented guy shoots more, a talented guy scores more. Also look at his ice time, it has increased as well (except when Keenan gets grumpy)

One last point. The Flames always come out of the gate slow (I know Kipper has a lot to do with this) So when they start winning more consistently I think you'll see that Huselius will be a major factor. Keep in mind that Huselius was a late bloomer and now he has entered the sweet years of his career 28 to 34.

So anyway, if you picked up Huselius in the mid to late rounds I'd say keep him because he is probably a 75 to 85 point guy this year (assuming the Flames turn it around) Having said all this....it all depends on who you can pick up for him.
