The Sharks are not going to add Sergei Gonchar.

Why would San Jose (who, are having cap issues as it is), add another offensive defensmen, while they already have a good one in Dan Boyle?

It makes absolutely no sense. Not unless, they plan on moving out Dan Boyle and bringing Sergei Gonchar in. Which, also makes no sense.

The Sharks have let go of their #1 Goaltender in Evgeni Nabokov, due to cap issues. And, may have to part ways with one of their bigger named guys since re-singing Pavelski & Marleau (IE, Heatley or Thornton).

So, adding Gonchar just isn't in the plans. Atleast, it shouldn't be in the plans.

Absolutely agree, TSN are almost always the first to report the potential for a deal as well as the first to talk about the details of the deal.

Another thing to consider is this. Boyle and Gonchar on the same team?? Does that sound a little too good to be true??

That's because it is.

By the way, Belcher is right about as often as the weatherman in Alberta.
