According to TSN.ca the Flyers have apparently released Guerin from his tryout contract with the team, you would think there is a team somwhere that would be willing to give once star player one more year? i mean he was a 20 plus scorer last year, he brings a ton of grit a determination to a lineup, and is a proven leader,, maybe a team like the Oilers looking for a cheap veteran to help protect and develop some of their budding young talent. Maybe Nashville or the Yotes... teams looking for cheap scoring winger, you would think their will be someone somwhere willing to give this old horse another shot.

I really do not think he is desperate enough to become a Leaf.

There was once a license plate in Toronto that abbreviated "Go Leafs" it read "Golfs".

Habs might pick him up now that they have shed about $1M on O'Byrne... stay tuned.

He's a free agent, they don't have salaries if they are not on an NHL team's payroll.

After putting Maltby on waivers there is another spot open for an aging veteran in Detroit.

That would be a good fit for him, he did play with Modano a few years ago in Dallas.

Guerin is a great American player. Would be a loss for US Hockey if he hung them up.

Still capable of scoring 20+, won 2 cups, great leadership. I'm sure more than a few of the younger teams would be happy to pick him up.

Or ya.. Pair him back with modano.

Im pretty sure that Ottawa doesn't need anymore veterans playing for them haha,
they already have Kovalev and Alfredson in their lineup, and Spezza's gettin up there!
and they have been around for awhile.

You may have to dig that one up because I don't recall saying that.

At 39 years old and still putting up the points like he did last year with 45, I still think he is a valuble player to have on your team !! He won't put up the big points, but he knows the game well and has stanley cup experience ! He knows how to play the game, he just has to prove that his body can still Handle it. I would love to see him on a Canadian team ! Don't throw in the towel just yet Bill !!
