From what i heard on the radio, the Kings backed out because they see no need to have a guy on their payroll who is not cleared to play. Once he's cleared, the trade could be resubmitted as there's interest from both sides. Timing is everything.
Also, apparently Sturm has a NTC but not a NMC meaning the Bruins likely asked him for a list of teams he'd accept a trade to, otherwise, "we may be forced to place you in the minors"! |

yeah, word is it is medical testing - prudent considering Sturm's situation, LAK want to make sure they're getting a healthy player. |

Must be medical testing, can't think of any other reason.
There was once a license plate in Toronto that abbreviated "Go Leafs" it read "Golfs". |

Trade is apparently on hold for some medical testing to be cleared? So as of today, Sturm is still a Bruin.

Interesting trade, the Bruins have enough depth that it won't be a HUGE loss, but I am really wondering who they'll get in return.
Sturm could mesch well on a line with Kopitar and Brown.
Wish we had space to keep him.

That was obviously coming, and i can't see the pick being all that high? His numbers have never been great, he's not a 1st liner by any stretch IMO and he's coming off MAJOR knee surgery? |
