Just noticed Cheechoo listed on Cap Geek with a salary of $600k, and he's listed as a "non-roster" player which usually means a player with a two-way contract. (Which is what Slozo noted.) I wonder what he makes if he plays in the AHL? $75k to $100k probably?

Wow – that's quite a drop for a former winner of the Rocket Richard Trophy, a guy who scored 56 goals just five seasons ago.

He's not exactly old (he turns 31 on July 15th), so did the money or fame go to his head?

I think it was a two way deal, actually (heard it reported that way on the radio).

I still think Cheechoo has the chops to be a good third liner at this point, but I guess we'll see.

Agree with guest9504, but some GM's can't help themselves. Just curious - does anyone know how much St. Louis is paying him? I suspect he was able to get a one-way deal, but I would be surprised if he got much more than than $1 million for this season.

Who is this cheechoo guy anyway? Wasn't he once a somebody?

He is exactly the reason GM's should not hand out huge contracts based on one season. Many players have one great season. Show me a couple good seasons and then I'll give you some cash.

Seems the Blues are adding a lot of veteran talent to their club, I wonder how it will all play out..
