The L.A king extend Slava Voynov for another six years a a terrirific cap hit, if Voynov can continue to progression this could be one of the best contracts for a top 2 d man in the NHL. At 23 years old the kings have locked down a signifigant pieace in their teams sucess.

I like this deal, though he's still gotta prove he can keep up the pace he set for himself this season. I heard "the panel" discussing him earlier in these playoffs and someone predicted that he's gonna take over a lot of the offensive role from Doughty and we'll see Doughty be more like a Ryan Suter with "some" offense, but better all around 2 way play. The 59pt season Doughty had early in his career is prob not gonna be seen again as he's gone from that to 40, 36 and 22 this year (lockout). The 22 would pro-rate over 82 games to approx 38pts. |
