We have American, Finnish, Russian, and Swedish, so...

Who is the best player from either the Czech Republic or Slovakia?

I voted for Jagr, it's just the way he dominated the game whenever he wanted to...simply amazing. Kaberle's definatly my fav. though.

Well even though the members' average age is clearly down, Jagr is one of the best players of all time. He may not be better than the others proportionally to the amount of votes he's receiving but I still think he is worthy of the recognition he's getting.
tctitans Posted - 04/02/2007 : 13:00:13
I think the distribution of the votes in this poll clearly shows the
average age of pickuphockey's viewership.
Saku Steen Posted - 04/02/2007 : 12:23:11
Marian Gaborik is pretty good... not the best of all time in my eyes, but hes another player to consider.
ryschevy1 Posted - 04/02/2007 : 11:56:52
I say Jagr would be the best, closely followed by Hasek.

GO OIL!!! YA!!!
Mikhailova Posted - 04/01/2007 : 18:12:09
Haha, yeah I said Jagr. He's still got some years left to be even better. As for forwards, Hossa and Stastny would be second and third, but if I were to include all players in that, Hasek would be right after Jagr.

Woah, this is unexpected...I thought for sure you would have went for Hasek...I would....2 harts, what 6 vezinas (I think) a gold(which he won singlehandedly) and a cup (which a shooter tutor could have been in net for).....Don't get me wrong, I hate him....But in the mid to late 90's he was easily the best player in the league.......

I HATE CROSBY

Kaberle has also played alot more games then Gaborik, but im not suggesting you take him out, im suggesting you take out Paul Stastney and put in one of those players.

Stan Mikita was versatile, he came into the league as a rough tough player, Hull convinced him that he was more valuable to the Hawks on the ice than in the penalty box, so he stopped the rough stuff and played hockey.

He had four seasons with more than 100 PIM, he won the Lady Byng twice, no other player that won the Lady Byng has ever had more than 100 PIM in any one season...

That was why I voted for him...

The best way to convince a fool that he is wrong is to let him have his own way...

Exactly. He realized he didn't have to thrash everyone to get respect and consequently turned into one of the all time best playmakers. He was great and also not very large in stature. He played much larger than he was.

Yeah, true about Paul but his dad is Slovak and a great player, and I needed players to fill the choices. Technically you're right though.

And who's Jargr? That sounds like something you say before you're about to barf, LOL

Im sorry I forgot you,ve never made a spelling mistake, and if your looking for players to fill spots why not Gaborik, Demitra or Chara

It was a tough choice between Jagr and Mikita. Statsny was great, and paved the way for most europeans, but I would not call him the greatest. I would also not consider Hossa, but noone's voted for him so so far so good. I voted Jagr by the way.

Long Live Leafs Nation!!

Had to vote for Stastny. However, I must admit I had a tough time between him and Jagr.

Jagr is propably the best with his shot but Peter Stastny would be a close 2nd. Paul will be a good player though.
Kashmire Posted - 04/01/2007 : 07:34:34
At first I wasn't sure between Jagr and Peter Stastny. Then I added Kaberle to the list. I chose Jagr.
