If the NHL held a no-holds-barred cage match today, who would take the title?

Boogaard. with one hand tied behind his back

Larague is #1!!!!!!
WOO HOO. He could beat up any of those fools any day.

Go Canucks

If it was no holds barred in a Cage Match I would vote for Todd Fedoruk. Knowing him personally when he was younger, he is a seriously tough SOB and does not know how to stop.

boogard is an ok fighter but gets beaten at first but as soon as he lands a good right hand to the face the opponents drop like flies

Larague is my choice.
Guest9811 Posted - 11/20/2006 : 09:15:21
Laraque is currently the top tough guy, 10 points in 19 games is not too shabby either! Boogard is a close 2nd. I think all time the greatest enforcer would have to be either Probert or Tony Twist, now there's a psycho.

Chris Simon anyone??? He doesn't drop them much anymore, cause he can play, but when he does it's devastating.

Chara has issues no offense, but he's too crazy.

I remember last season in a Boston/Ottawa game, I believe it was Nick Boynton who speared Zdeno Chara after a whistle and Chara proceeded to break his fists on Boynton's melon. He was out for a week or two as I recall...

At the time, I thought to myself "If there's ever one guy in the NHL I wouldn't want pissed off at me, that's gotta be it."
Guest8977 Posted - 11/18/2006 : 12:45:12
Laraque was voted best enforcer by the NHL, so thats why I voted for him.
Guest4003 Posted - 11/18/2006 : 12:29:23
Lets be honest. Chara is the toughest bottom line. Next in line is Laroque.

I thought McGratton was the champ till this year.

Boogaard is the new champ... this guy is a monster

Right now I think it would be Laraque or Boogaard. Chara is definitely a monster but I think the right hit would send him packin.

5 or 6 years ago I would have given it to Brashear but he has turned soft in his old age.

Best of all-time had to be Probert. That guy was scarey.

Back in his prime it would have been Gino Odjik!
lyall Posted - 11/18/2006 : 09:28:27
Laraque. No contest.

Jarkko Ruutu!
bablaboushka Posted - 11/17/2006 : 20:09:55
It would have to be Chara. The man is a beast and during the summer he trains with his father who is a professional wrestler in Slovakia, or something along those lines.

If he can toss McCabe around like a dirty dishcloth then I'm sure he could take on anyone.
ultimatetitman Posted - 11/17/2006 : 19:30:44
Wade Belak? Come on! Why does every poll have to have a Toronto component?
Laraque is the king of the heavyweights right now. Unfortuantely, Gary Bettman has pretty much eliminated fighting from the game, and teams can't afford to dress a guy whose knuckles drag the ice as he lumbers through the neutral zone.
