I love that Kilger was on the list in 2006. He had his issues and disappeared off the face of the earth, too bad cause he was a decent player.

Who is Sundin???? Isn't he a card player now? Nice frickin career move
Guest4049 Posted - 02/03/2010 : 13:56:49
Kovy , he has an amazing wrister as well
irvine Posted - 12/10/2007 : 21:08:55
I voted other.

My pick goes to Big Z, Zdeno Chara. He has a very hard shot, and it has some accuracy behind it. I'd not want to stand in front of it, goalie equipment or not. At least not when he has clear shot directly at you from a fairly close distance. F; That!

Chara!

500th goal, a hat trick, and in overtime, that was a nice slap shot...

I don't necessarily agree with everything I say.

last time i checked, having the best slapshot in the league doesnt get you an invitation to allstar weekend
fly4apuckguy Posted - 11/26/2007 : 20:01:25
Rolston, for speed and accuracy. Unreal slapper.
nashvillepreds Posted - 11/26/2007 : 18:29:40
Didn't Kilger have like the hardest shot in the league last year or something?

GO PREDATORS GO
PainTrain Posted - 11/26/2007 : 18:22:50
There is a lot of players who have great shots but don't get it noticed because they don't go to the All Star game or score a lot of goals. Ales Kotalik and Chad Kilger are a few that come to mind.
nashvillepreds Posted - 11/26/2007 : 16:23:49
Zdeno Chara. He can really load one up because of his size.

My Choice Is Mathieu Schneider now of the ducks. Almost always on the net and goalies can smell the burning rubber as it goes by them. An honorable mention for me has to be the "Finnis McInnis" who would be none other than Sami Salo!!!!

Do you mean Al MacInnis? He had an amazing shot but the question is the best shot today...

I've figured it out, the guys gotta play like girls!

He's a right winger for the Sabres, he was born in the Czech Republic, he has 36P, 14G, 22A, +/- = -2. NHL.com ...gotta love it.

That's about all I can think of, unless someone else has something to add...
Saku Steen Posted - 03/05/2007 : 14:39:24
Could you tell me about him? (Story time!, Story time! Story time!)

I agree, Rolston has the best slapshot.

Souray x 44.
Its so hard and accurate.
leafsfan_101 Posted - 03/01/2007 : 14:19:12
Has everyone forgotten about McCabe and his shot. It is accurate too, only now people have taken away his chances. You may hate the Leafs but you can't deny his great shot.

Long Live Leafs Nation!!

Strange that Reghr is even on the list (ie. Shouldnt even be considered in that group).
Guest2511 Posted - 03/01/2007 : 10:08:24
Clearly Souray. Because unlike Chad Kilger and these other bums, he actually scores in games. The slap shot competitions are bogus, look at the games!
Guest2575 Posted - 02/19/2007 : 07:51:31
Ales Kotalik of the sabres has a cannon of a slap shot

The skills comp is good and all but not accurate when there are only 12 dmen from the entire league in the all star game
I think Sami Salo has one of the best slap shots in the game today, also I hate brian rolston but what a slapper

CANUCKS RULE!!

Yeah i know that, but he was picked maybe becuase of his hard slapshot..

but you right it's not 100% accurate

Rolston of the Wild or Bergron of the Islanders.
ci_1612 Posted - 02/15/2007 : 02:39:07
I'm looking at it from different ways Hardest is proven as Chad Kilger wher ehe set the record. But i think the best as in most times scoring and accuracy is Kovalchuk by far have you ever seen how many times he puts it top shelf from the side boards?

Chris Illsley

Why on earth is McCabe on this list?
Guest2899 Posted - 02/11/2007 : 16:02:49
Rolston has the best slapshot I have ever seen. He has taken three slapshots in Shootouts/Penaly shots and scored all three times. His victims: Roberto Luongo, Marty Turco, and Mikka Kiprusoff

wrong!!! he tried it against brodeur and was stoned.
and i am not just a devils fan i love rolston ,my favorite player other than the devils players
KariyaSelanne Posted - 01/25/2007 : 15:34:09
Zdeno Chara I think was more entertaining on the Senators, he's a captain now so he can't have as much fun as he used to,(refering to the Brian McCabe and Vincent Lecavlier fights) he still has a nice slapshot tho.

Go Preds Go!!!
