Wow that trade is genious ... smart guy whoever that was .. and you never know the series could turn around but man you should have done a little odds research before you did that trade ... hope for a miracle

The suck without him! He has played in all of their 99 playoff games in modern history before last week. No coincidence they go to the final last year when he has his best post-season performance ever.

Sucks to be me, I have Heatley and Spezza in my pool ... passed on a Kovalev and Sykora trade from some guy who wanted badly to get 'em last week!

I voted no.

Their record without Alfie is not good, as someone pointed out - and Fischer compounds the problem. They are already playing a tough team in Pittsburgh, who are hungry for revenge after last year's schooling . . . I think it might be a short series, actually. Especially if Emery gets pulled in the first or second game and confidence plummets . . .

I voted no. There are some teams that appear to thrive without their leader (Pittsburgh and Toronto come to mind), but I don't think Ottawa is one of them, and with Fischer out too... no. Especially not based on the type of game they have been playing for most of the second half of the season. I'll go on a limb and give them a first round 'maybe', but I'll be surprised to see them get any further. I hope they do though - they still rep Ontario, and being a Leafs fan aside, without the Leafs in it I am happy to see a local team do well if they can.

Actually I think maybe because they got a few of good players that's injured.

Without Alfredsson, eek.

Well, with Heatley & Spezza up front they have a chance. But Alfredsson is their leader, there is no doubt it's a big blow. Fischer, also injured...so they've lost two of their top 4 offensive players, it's going to take a lot of effort from their third and fourth lines in order to defeat any team. It slightly saddens me to say this, but with the poor goaltending from Gerber (come on, give Emery a shot!) and having Redden getting off injury, still not 100%, I don't see them making it past round 2. :/

Missing:

Alfredsson
Fischer

Getting off injury:

Redden

Where is Emery?

:/

Of course the still have a chance to win without him.Just being in the playoffs gives any team a chance. I just think that losing Alfredson greatly reduces there chances but they still have a chance.

You guys are forgetting about Mike Fisher, though he may not be leading the team in points he is a crucial member of that franchise, he really does it all for them, provides secondary scoring from "Big 3", penalty kills, provides grit, leadership and all in all a great team player. Without both of them and there recent struggles the Sens quest for the cup has gotten much harder. Of course they can win i, but will they? If I were a betting man, I wouldn't bet on them.
