A whopping $2000 fine was issued to PK Subban for "diving", making him the 5th player thus far fined under these new rules aimed at taking "embellishment" out of the game.

Argued with a co-worker today over this. HE didn't think it warranted a fine as PK was on one skate at point of contact? I see his point, but these guys can usually skate pretty good and I'd expect an NHL caliber player to be able to maintain his balance. I will say, I'd have had no problem with no fine and just the penalty, but maybe the league is going to take this diving issue a little more serious that I first thought?
