Can you believe the start Tim Thomas is off too. After six games he is a perfect 6-0 with 3 shutouts and a 0.50 GAA. I always liked the way he battles and plays 100% all the time. Not as refined as Tuuka Rask but what can you say.Way to go Tim!

I have to give big credit to his defence.
Not to take too much away from Thomas - he played really well against the Leafs the other night - but his defence played as solid a game as you can. Low chances, clear the net, no giveaways . . . it's a very, very solid defensive team in Boston. My guess is the Bruins lead the league this year for lowest goals against, and I'm not just saying that after their good start.
Yeah, Thomas has played very well . . . but in my mind, from the games I have seen - he hasn't stolen even one game yet.
It's been a team effort.

Well Rask has the same team playing in front of him and is 0-2 has a 3.53 gaa and a .894 SP. Tim Thomas as been playing excellent, a good defence doesn't stop the shots from going in, they just take away some of them. Thomas has only let in 3 goals on 185 shots. That is incredible.

If ever Boston could trade his contract you would think now would be as good a time they ever will get.
All they need is some contender to have their number one goalie go down with an injury(Philadelpia, Washington) and im sure they could work out a deal. They(Boston) wouldn't be looking for alot in return. |

Um, trade TT for nothing? Are you insane? Ryder will go to the minors and Wheeler will be traded to fix cap issues, but, TT for little in return? Put the pipe down. |

I agree it not ideal for them to get rid of him for cheap, but you do realize that they are over the cap by about 6-7 million as we speak. The only thing saving them is the fact that Sturm's and Savard's contract are on the injured reserve list. |

Ryder & Wheeler = 6.2 mil and we'll throw Paille for free :)
Savard is several weeks away, if he plays at all.
