I am however, getting some good positive reinforcement on some of the picks I made |

Sydor is also taken by nuxfan at pick 117. Semin, check the list before you post!!! That's the 4th time: you've tried to pick Hatcher, Zubov, Desjardins, and Sydor.
PLEASE, HIT (CTRL+F) AND SEARCH FOR THE PLAYER'S NAME BEFORE YOU PICK! |

Dunno Nuxfan, if he's trying to get those guys this late, maybe he thinks you overvalued them?
Sorry for the delay folks, been a busy day at work. I'm gonna pick my backup goalie and go with another former cup winner (and Conn Smythe).......

I am up after Toxxik... I take 3-time Selke trophy winner Jere Lehtinen. I was worried during all our talk of the Selke trophy that his name would come up, thankfully he is still available. |

I'll take the man who is tied for first in scoring amongst defencemen:
KEITH YANDLE
There was once a license plate in Toronto that abbreviated "Go Leafs" it read "Golfs". |

No offense A1, but that's a horrible pick. You def should have taken your last dman. I can guarantee you Rask would have been around for your last pick seeing as everyone has their 2 goalies! 5 More dmen will now be off the board before you get your last one! |

There are many D-men that I couldn't decide on so I'm just going to leave it up to whoever's left.

Well, i'm happy to see that the former Selke trophy winner (and three time runner up) that i was hoping for is still available to finalize my 4th line, my PK unit AND my team for that matter!
With their final pick, the California Golden Seals will select, three time Stanley Cup Champ.....

I'll take Alexi Yahsin with the last player pick, and assuming it countinues snake style with the gm and coaches I'll go with Scotty Bowman as coach. And Nux, it's Kris Draper, don't mean to be the spelling police, just wanted to let you no my friend.

I was hoping that you'd take Vigneault!
Oh well, I'll take the best coach in recent years, winning the Stanley Cup, never missing the playoffs, and coaching Canada to a gold medal, Mike Babcock.
PS: IMHO, I think that Bowman is a valid pick though he hasn't coached in the lockout. Though Bowman retired from coaching in 2002, he still works in NHL management, and for me, that counts as being a valid choice for a coach, despite this being a post-lockout draft. |

Bowman doen't count, only guys who have COACHED or been a GM since the lockout.

Technically, Bowman has coached since the lockout, since he has worked as a special advisor for the Red Wings and in hockey operations for Chicago. I think that the Bowman pick should count, after all, we allow Lemieux to be viewed as "IN HIS PRIME." If we consider that Bowman is still actively involved in NHL team operations, then we could pull the "IN HIS PRIME" rule on Bowman, and say that if he was "IN HIS PRIME" he'd still be coaching..
That's my adamant defense for Canucks Man, because I want to keep my choice of Mike Babcock. |

the spelling police should have correct spelling...

special advisor or hockey operations are not coaching or GM'ing. If you extend coach and/or GM to anyone associated with the team, its going to get hard to police - what great coach or GM from the past isn't associated in some way with teams these days?
I would think that the coach or GM must be a stated head coach or GM for a team since the lockout. |
