Poll Question:
How long will it be before we read this headline about Peter Forsberg?

"Forsberg reinjures his foot. Career in limbo once again"

Choices:

Any minute now
A day or two from now
A week from now
A month from now
A few months from now
A few years from now
A few decades from now (with the help of Rafa Nadal''s doctor!)

saw some highlights from last night, he looked pretty good out there. Played 17 minutes with Hejduk and Duschene.

I m kinda hoping for this headline "Super star brings career back from the dead" Froppa in my opinion in his prime was a top player of all time and me being 23 years mean he is probably a top 8 player i have seen play, Has anyone noticed the uncanny similarities between Crosby and Forseberg? Every game Forseberg plays in the NHL is good for the game great for the fans!

Pasty7 - I agree. Forsberg is a treat to watch.

It just seems, unfortunately, that this is a never-ending story with him (if not the foot, something else). Sure, it has to do with the way he plays, but maybe that's the point. He is what he is, which makes it just a matter of "When" when it comes to the question of this poll.

Hopefully I'm wrong, but I'll be surprised if he is playing in the second half of March.

On another note, I wonder if this, at least partly, has to do with money issues as a result of his shoe business problems. I wouldn't blame him for this if it is the case - might be very honorably trying to pay debts, I don't know.

Hmmm i wasn't aware of his buisness troubles.. but hes has been trying to play every year since leaving the NHL, it's not like he un retired he has never officially hung em up.. sure the never ending brett Farve like drama sucks but i truly think it is because Froppa loves this game,, even in his first game back you could see his desire to be the best player on the ice.. i would tend to agree probably have to sit out at some point this season but i sincerly hope not,, nothing i would love more than to see him score like 25 points and help the avs to a playoff spot!

I watched his first game back against Columbus and thought he played pretty good all things considered. I'm still amazed at how strong he is against the boards. He made a few nice passes in the game as well that very easily could of earned him assists...in particular cross ice feed on the PP to Liles, but Liles sort of shanked the onetimer & didn't get much on the shot.

when marc savard is trying to come back to the game i'll post a thread that reads "how long till this guy gets lit up and has to sit out for the rest of the season?" .... then you'll see how stupid it is to post something of this nature.

No, what I think I'll see then is people either thinking about the question, having fun with the question or just ignoring the question because they're not interested in it.

Oh yeah, there would also be the odd guy spouting off silly negative things that somehow makes himself feel good for some mysteriously sad reason. One can never avoid those guys.

For the record, I love the way Forsberg plays. But this "Peter is coming back" stuff happens an inordinate number of times with him - way more than Savard by the way!

Maybe I'm totally off with this, and Guest 7742, please go ahead and spit back at this the way you like to do if it somehow helps you, but there almost seems something a bit "drama queen" ish about Foppa.

Wow, two games into a horrible comeback!

Gotta be the foot problems!

There was once a license plate in Toronto that abbreviated "Go Leafs" it read "Golfs".
