Bertuzzi got in a fight in Detroit's 4-2 win over Phoenix in the first game of this series.

A lot of comments have been made about the rarity of fighting in the playoffs, especially as it relates to the Wings. Detroit hasn't dressed an enforcer probably going back to Bob Probert or Joey Kocer.

Mike Babcock commented after the game that it was probably the first fight in 6 years of Wings playoff hockey. The lack of fighting (or dressing an enforcer) has certainly not hurt the Wings' success in the playoffs the past six years, or for many years prior. That being said, Babcock was not disappointed at all with the Bertuzzi fought. In fact, he seemed quite enthused by the occurrence, commenting further that it really pumped up their fans.
